We have just had Mossie a South African meerkat arrive in Stonehaven to visit us for a while during his tour of the UK. Meerkats are the South African version of Beavers he has a usb stick with him of photos of his trip so far and a pdf of a Meerkat handbook. If anyone would like a copy of the handbook so you can do some international badgework drop Ann Hodge a line and she will send you a copy. If you want to see what Mossie and his siblings Missy and Mischeif have done in their world tour so far you can see them on the facebook group the meandering meerkats.

Fast Forward 2 Camp
Stonehaven Dunnottar Cubs went with St. Cyrus Cubs and Scouts to Fast Forward 2 at Fordell Firs. We had a great time doing a wide range of activites from learning about saving water and tasting food from different countries in the global zone and pioneering and pitching tents in the skill zone to caving and boating in the adventure zone. We had a large campfire on the Friday night and on Saturday night there was a carnival. We all came home very tired but happy. All Cubs worked hard and have achieved several badges over the course of the weekend, several of them are now close to getting the Chief Scout Silver Award the highest Award a Cub can achieve.
